On Saturday I made a few mounds and started two type of French Pumpkin seeds:
French Pumpkin Type |
Attributes |
Color |
Cinderella Bush Type Rouge Vif D’Etampes
Flattened globes, compact vines |
Musquée de Provence Cucurbita moschata |
Heavily lobed and ribbed skin, Heirloom variety |
It's been raining like crazy since then, I have to check on them in the morning and press down any seeds that have moved to the surface, and maybe add a bit more compost so they are snug for germination.
These were chosen because they are smaller in both vine and pumpkin size - it was time to face the fact we don't have enough room for the large types.
