The Moroccan bag that carried everything home. Firm stuff on bottom, delicate on top; two mile round trip on foot, no problem.
Corn, ready for baking "as is" 350 degrees, 15 carefully watched minutes. Perfection! Fingerling potatoes, small peaches, green beans, blueberries, strawberries and Bing cherries.
While the corn was baking, I washed, drained and pitted the cherries with a gadget. These were just stowed in the freezer.
The blueberries were picked over and rinsed a few times. It's hard to see but I like to nest the colander in a round Pyrex glass container.
The berries were picked over again, if you are going to freeze fruit it should be the best possible. I lined a small rimmed sheet (jelly roll) with waxed paper, poured these into a single layer and stashed in the freezer. Once the fruit is solid, they can be poured in to freezer containers.
