Strawberry Shortcake: homemade biscuits and local berries

Berries: picked that morning, purchased at the weekly farmer market, rinsed, sliced and sprinkled with a wee bit of sugar. Set aside while biscuits were prepared. Biscuits: made in the food processor after dinner: flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, butter and plain yogurt instead of cream. Mine came out fat so they were cut in half to even out proportions. Topping: non-dairy frozen soy dessert. With all this goodness you hardly miss the sugar and fat.
